About The Position

Requirements: Five years of experience as millwright in chemical manufacturing environment. NCCER Millwright certification is preferred but demonstrated progress towards certification can be considered. Level 1 certification for vibration monitoring and interpretation is also preferred. Specialized Skill or Technical Knowledge: Should be experienced in repair techniques of common plant equipment (pumps, compressors, fans, turbines, materials handling equipment, etc.) Will be required to perform vibration monitoring and interpret results. Must be knowledgeable in the correct use of instruments and tools commonly used by millwrights. Decision-Making: Will be responsible for determining appropriate repair or replacement strategies for plant equipment. Expenditures for outside resources (material or labor) will require appropriate approval through plant purchasing procedures. Supervision Received: Position will receive direct supervision from the Lead Mechanical Technician. However, millwright should be able to work independently with little directive, and show initiative in researching repair methods, finding necessary parts, and improving technical skill level. Supervision Given: Position will provide indirect supervision over resident contract maintenance employees. Occasional (turn-around, step-up, etc.) direct supervision of contract employee may also be required. Accuracy, Accountability and Control: Will be required to document work, including measurements of critical tolerances. Thank you for your interest in working on our team!
