About The Position

Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire offers multiple inpatient and outpatient programs designed to meet the needs of every patient. The hospital is seeking a Maintenance and Technician to perform a variety of building maintenance tasks, including painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, testing and inspections of physical plant equipment, preventive maintenance, and various janitorial duties with minimal supervision. Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
At least 4 years’ experience performing general maintenance, basic mechanical engineering, and repairs on facility equipment and property structures
Experience in operating a variety of hand/power tools and equipment ensuring proper safety precautions

Nice To Haves

Two years of technical or trade school
Healthcare industry experience
Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing and carpentry
Experience with compliance with The Joint Commission, EPA, Hazmat and OSHA safety rules and regulations
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software Suite
