Maintenance Technician
About The Position
Key Staffing is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Technician to support one of our valued clients, serving the Woodville and Dinuba area offices . This position offers the opportunity to join a team responsible for maintaining residential housing units and community facilities while ensuring a safe and well-maintained environment for residents. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity , providing the chance to demonstrate your skills and transition into a permanent position based on performance and client needs. Job Summary Under the direction of the Area Manager, the Maintenance Technician will perform semi-skilled maintenance and repair work on buildings, housing units, and equipment. This role involves maintaining rental units, performing minor repairs, operating tools and equipment, and assisting with grounds maintenance.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least 3 years of experience in maintenance, building repair, or groundskeeping
- Experience using hand tools and power tools
- Basic knowledge of building maintenance, repairs, and grounds care
- Ability to follow instructions and complete work assignments efficiently
- Strong attention to safety procedures
- Ability to perform a variety of general maintenance tasks
- Good communication skills and ability to interact with team members and residents
- Lift up to 100 pounds on a continuing basis
- Bend, reach, stoop, and climb ladders
- Work on rooftops and elevated areas
- Move appliances and equipment
- Work outdoors in heat, cold, and varying weather conditions
- Maintain mobility to move between housing units and project areas
Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance on residential rental units including cleaning, painting, and repairs
- Conduct minor plumbing, carpentry, and repair work as needed
- Assist with maintenance and repair of building systems and equipment
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Maintain and repair power machinery and equipment
- Maintain outdoor areas including: Mowing Fertilizing Spraying Chemical weed control
- Support general upkeep of housing properties and surrounding grounds
- Complete assigned work orders and maintenance tasks in a timely and safe manner
- Follow supervisor instructions and maintenance procedures
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
- Assist with additional maintenance tasks as required
