About The Position

MSP/HSL is seeking dynamic, experienced Maintenance Technicians to maintain the overall maintenance of the company’s campuses and properties. The Maintenance Technicians will work closely with property managers and executive directors to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for those residents we serve, ensuring the continued operation of all maintenance-related functions. This position is full-time with typical work hours ranging between 7am-6pm; however, on-call availability is required. MSP is a multifaceted real estate company headquartered in West Allis, Wisconsin. Established in 1988, our portfolio consists of MSP Real Estate, MSP Development, MSP Construction, MSP Property Management and Heritage Senior Living. MSP specializes in affordable and market-rate housing, mixed-income independent senior apartments, Section 42 Affordable Housing Tax Credit housing, and independent senior assisted living and memory care campuses. MSP/HSL has 30+ campuses and properties, operating in the following counties: Chippewa, Dane, Eau Claire, Pierce, Milwaukee, Outagamie, Ozaukee, Waukesha, and Winnebago.

Requirements

  • 1+ year experience in maintenance
  • Basic mechanical skills to include light electrical and plumbing
  • Ability to critically think and problem solve is a must
  • Must be able to push, pull and lift 50lbs
  • climb ladders and stairs
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

  • housing background preferred
  • HVAC and fire sprinklers a plus

Responsibilities

  • Prepare rooms for move ins/outs including repairs, paint touch-ups, and moving furniture
  • Respond to work order requests and concerns from residents, families, and coworkers
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs throughout the building, including plumbing, mechanical, electrical, carpentry, and large and small appliances
  • Test and schedule inspections of fire protect systems, security systems, and plumbing, mechanical, electrical, carpentry, and large and small appliances
