About The Position

First Resources Corp. is looking for an energetic and self motivated Maintenance Technician. As a Maintenance Technician, you will repair and maintain facility equipment. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple changing priorities and ability to work independently at times. Additionally, you will utilize motorized lift and rental equipment as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a valid driver's license, a good driving record and show proof of auto insurance.
  • Experience in Carpentry and Home Renovation needed.
  • Must have the manual dexterity to operate equipment, work in confined space, able to use hand/electric power and hand tools.
  • Must be able to manipulate stairways, climb ladders, and work at high elevations.
  • Experience with general maintenance of vehicles, plumbing, electrical, and mechanics of equipment required.
  • Physically moves bulky and or heavy equipment as needed.
  • May be required to climb, stoop, kneel or crawl in the course of daily work.
  • Able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds without restrictions

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 1 year experience in maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing and carrying out a regular maintenance schedule for vehicles and equipment not under service contracts; i.e. change oil, light bulbs, filters, etc. and monthly inspections.
  • Responsible for non-routine maintenance of equipment, buildings, and vehicles. If unable to complete, arrange with supervisor to have the work completed by a contractor, ensuring that it is finished satisfactorily.
  • Be informed of and capable of handling emergencies, evacuations, etc. and ensure that safety standards are adhered to and proper action is taken to correct violations.
  • Pick up supplies, equipment, etc. on a regular basis.
  • Responsible for requisition of maintenance supplies.
  • Responsible for security of departments, supplies, equipment, and tools.
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings and in-services as required.
  • Responsible to maintain the highest level of confidentiality at all times.
  • Responsible for yard work and snow removal at all FRC properties and locations.
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Other work related tasks as assigned by supervisors
