About The Position
Mother Angeline McCrory Manor is a Faith-Based, Nonprofit, Short-Term Rehabilitation, Skilled Geriatric Care facility sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm. They have provided spiritually motivated care for the elderly of Columbus for over 65 years. The organization is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to join their team. The role emphasizes compassionate care based on deep-rooted spiritual beliefs and aims to create a supportive workplace where employees are valued, compensated fairly, and provided the tools to thrive.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in building and preventive maintenance required.
- Ability to operate common hand tools.
- Knowledge and interest in working with elderly residents.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Preventive maintenance and repairs on all building equipment.
- Basic carpentry, painting, drywall, and refinishing work as needed.
- Mechanical repairs on hospital beds, lifts, stands, wheelchairs, commercial kitchen equipment, and commercial laundry equipment.
- Assist with snow removal using appropriate equipment, including snowplows.
- Assist with installation, maintenance, and up-keep of computers.
