Join Nordic Ware as a Maintenance Technician on 2nd shift! In this position, you would be responsible for performing highly diversified duties including installations, repairs, and maintenance of industrial machinery and equipment in the plant as well as building maintenance. You will also conduct periodic inspections of machinery and buildings. Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of Industrial Manufacturing maintenance and repair work required.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills-you'll be working with multiple departments.
  • Must be able to perform basic welding, plumbing, and minor electrical and power transmission tasks.
  • Must be proficient in the repair of a variety of machines including pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems and other production-related processes and systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Graduate of an accredited vocational institution preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance tasks like greasing, lubrication, and inspecting key components and non-production equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions, making necessary adjustments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Handle plumbing, electrical, and welding tasks related to equipment and building maintenance.
  • Use various hand and power tools, multi-meters, and material-handling equipment.
  • Collaborate with Safety and Production Managers to install safety components on machines and buildings.
  • Work closely with managers and team members from other departments to keep production running efficiently.
  • Comply with plant safety rules, policies and regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Install new and relocate existing equipment as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
