About The Position

The Maintenance Technician (industrial) diagnoses, maintains, troubleshoots, repairs and/or rebuilds on all processing equipment which includes but is not limited to; (tractor) trailers, balers, shredders, and conveyors; . This is a key role that ensures all mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems operate safely and efficiently in compliance with company, state, and federal standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of related maintenance industrial experience with solid work history required.
  • Electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic background; welding and torching experience required.
  • Multi-trade experience with industrial electrical experience (required)
  • Valid Driver License (required)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain company equipment certification
  • Ability to demonstrate attention to detail.
  • Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and measurements accurately.
  • Ability to operate a variety of tools to complete job safely and efficiently including; Pneumatic, Welders, Gas cutting torch/plasma cutter, hand tools and multi meter/Amp meter
  • Ability to read and compose simple instructions and correspondence
  • Ability to prioritize tasks to ensure deadlines, daily tasks and projects are completed on time.
  • Ability to navigate and perform accurate data entry in maintenance software.
  • Communicate effectively and respectfully with coworkers and the public, responding to inquiries or concerns professionally.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, bend, twist, reach, lift, and pull throughout the shift, frequently on uneven floors/ground or raised platforms.
  • Occasionally required to kneel, climb, or crouch.
  • Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, wet and humid conditions, extreme temperatures, and outdoor environments.
  • Specific vision requirements include color, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Constant repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree, or certification in electrical or mechanical technology (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and preventive maintenance per manufacturer guidelines, OSHA standards, and company policies.
  • Diagnoses, troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on fleet equipment utilizing appropriate tools and equipment
  • Work independently and in a team setting to manage and adjust multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prioritize and complete daily tasks, projects, and repair assignments within established timelines.
  • Accurately record maintenance activities using CMMS (Dossier) and related software.
  • Frequently lifts and moves materials and tools weighing up to 50 lbs; may be required to lift heavier items using proper tools or assistance.
  • Travel up to 10% of the time by motorized vehicle as required.
  • Assist with maintenance and repair of other equipment, including material handlers, forklifts, and skid steers.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
