About The Position

This is an Industrial Maintenance Technician opportunity with Southern Textile Service, Inc., a family-owned regional company established in 1934. The company specializes in linen rental supply and commercial laundry services, providing linen, textile, and hygiene services to hospitality, first-class lodging, healthcare, and small business customers. The role is in a highly automated environment and requires the ability to communicate with all levels of management, manage and support engineering teams, and believe in well-defined preventative maintenance programs. Requirements

  • Knowledge of several of the following areas: Preventative maintenance procedures
  • Knowledge of several of the following areas: Boilers
  • Knowledge of several of the following areas: Air compressors
  • Knowledge of several of the following areas: Welding and Piping
  • Knowledge of several of the following areas: Hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Knowledge of several of the following areas: Electrical circuitry and PLC's
  • Knowledge of several of the following areas: Electro/mechanical utility and electrical trouble shooting
  • Knowledge of several of the following areas: General equipment and building maintenance
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule
  • Must have the ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
  • Minimum of at least 2 years maintenance experience

  • Experience with steam traps
  • Experience with motor starters
  • Experience with gear reducers
  • Experience with inverter drives
  • Experience with industrial laundry equipment

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance program
  • Work with other associates in a team to accomplish goals
  • Maintain safety and cleanliness standards
  • Assist in other areas and/or departments as needed
