About The Position
U.S. Facilities, Inc., a consolidated facility management/infrastructure service organization, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to work at our VRE (Virginia Railway Express) locations throughout Greater Northern Virginia. The applicant will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance, electrical repair, and carpentry work for VRE stations and facilities. This role requires light troubleshooting abilities for various machinery and equipment, including industrial machinery, electricity, plumbing, and generators. The technician will also perform duties such as carpentry, general contract/labor, concrete work, drywall installation, and assist with machines and tools.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Computer training with Microsoft Office Suite, including knowledge with Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Licensed Journeyman Electrician
- Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening
- Possession of a valid driver's license
- Basic Safety knowledge
- Knowledge of Power Tools
- Knowledge of handheld tools
- Attentive and motivated
- Ability to use diagnostic tools, blueprints/manuals, and schematics effectively
- Ability to maintain detailed maintenance logs and repair records
Responsibilities
- Help and assist in the maintenance, electrical repair and carpentry work for VRE stations and facilities
- Perform light trouble shooting abilities for a variety of different types of machinery and equipment, including industrial machinery, electricity, plumbing, generators, etc.
- Assist installation, maintenance, and repair workers in maintenance, parts replacement, industrial machinery, and electrical and electronic equipment
- Perform duties such as carpentry, general contract/labor, concrete work, drywall installation, machines, and tools; and holding materials or tools for other workers
- Provides Preventive maintenance service to machinery, generators, etc.
- Provides daily and weekly inspection reports of equipment
- Required to be on call as needed
- May be required to perform additional or different duties from those set forth above to address business needs and changing business practices
