About The Position

Job Summary: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing production machinery and facilities. Duties & Responsibilities: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. Troubleshoot and repair a broad range of production equipment. This includes extruders, mills, mixers, electric and lighting, etc. Perform basic electrical troubleshooting up to 480V. Troubleshoot and repair gearboxes, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and facilities. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3 years’ minimum industrial maintenance experience strongly preferred.
  • Working experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, and mechanical repair.
  • Ability to perform basic computer skills.
  • Ability to work without supervision on projects and daily work.
  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Work effectively within a team environment.
  • Ability to manage your time in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills. This includes being proactive in your approach to all issues in order to identify or eliminate potential problem areas.
  • Ability to take direction and carry out instructions from the supervisor in an orderly and efficient manner.
  • Ability to lead by example and display a strong work ethic for others to follow.
  • Ability to work independently and in groups and be self-motivated in both settings.

Nice To Haves

  • Formal training is a plus.
  • Experience with welding, fabrication, and HVAC is a plus.
