About The Position

SUMMARY: The Maintenance Technician I is required to perform equipment maintenance on machines with Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic, and Pneumatic systems. Some fabrication and welding are also required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the direction of a Lead/Supervisor perform preventative maintenance, general maintenance, installations and repairs to electrical, electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic equipment/systems and/or routine maintenance duties on the facility, building grounds, equipment and machinery at the site Use standard and special maintenance/repair tools including, but not limited to hand tools, saws, drills, cutting devices, grinding tools, measuring devices, etc. Work with an attitude toward continuous improvement with a team approach to problem-solving and decision making. Prioritize and assign jobs, monitor variances. Ensure that appropriate records, instructions and prints are maintained. Perform duties a safe manner at all times. Follow policies and procedures including manufacturer’s instructions and related regulations (EHS, Hazcom, LOTO, electrical/mechanical safety, etc.) Perform Machine Maintenance Perform Plant and operations maintenance Operating Procedures and/or work instructions. Is responsible for the quality of own work Follows schedules, procedures and 6S housekeeping practices Be goal-oriented toward manufacturing cost and work center efficiency Offers ideas, suggestions, and improvement concepts for improving the utilization and productivity of the Maintenance Department

Requirements

  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and measuring devices.
  • Basic understanding of PLCs and industrial automation (advanced skills are a plus).
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in maintenance within a manufacturing/industrial environment.
  • Experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
