About The Position

Provides maintenance support for mechanical, electrical, equipment, and tooling. Maintains records, manuals, reports, instructions, schedules and forms related to maintenance responsibilities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
  • Basic English reading, writing, math, and listening skills.
  • Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting ability
  • Experience and some proficiency operating various maintenance and tool room equipment such as power tools, mill, drill press, welders, lathe, press, and band saw.
  • Previous industrial maintenance/tool room experience preferred.
  • Ability to read/interpret engineering drawings and/or electrical schematics.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (listening, verbal and written).
  • Demonstrated safe working practices.
  • Demonstrated satisfactory attendance record.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Work from verbal and /or written work instructions.
  • Lifting and carrying up to 25-50lbs.
  • Frequent use of manual, electric, and pneumatic hand tools.
  • Frequent standing, sitting, bending, kneeling, squatting, ladder and stair climbing and occasional crawling, twisting, and lying.
  • Frequent reaching and repetitive manipulation of hands for simple grasping, pushing, and pulling.
  • Wearing of personal protective equipment including, but not limited to safety glasses, gloves, protective garments, and respirators.
  • In an industrial environment where there will be exposure to elevated high heat and humidity, fiberglass dust, and hazardous chemicals.
  • In a safety-sensitive, demanding, detail oriented, deadline driven environment that requires simultaneous handling of multiple priorities.
  • Independently and as a member of a team.
  • May be required to work up to a 12-hour shift.

Responsibilities

  • Maintenance support of facility (inside/outside), mechanical, electrical, equipment and tooling.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems and components.
  • Maintain records to include: equipment manuals, safety inspections, fire protection system inspections, outside technical service reports, appropriate drawings, PM instructions, schedules and forms.
  • Design & build fixtures, tooling, gages, and equipment as required.
  • Interact with production supervision, engineering, external suppliers, and OEMs.
