About The Position

Summary: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment to support safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operations. This role performs preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance in alignment with safety standards and operational goals. This position serves as a shared resource across multiple departments, supporting overall site performance and reliability. Essential Duties: Perform routine and non-routine maintenance on production equipment, including preventive maintenance tasks Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems Ensure that manual and automated equipment operate safely and efficiently to support uninterrupted production Assist with installation, setup, and modification of equipment as needed Recommend and implement equipment improvements or modifications Facility & Operational Support Perform maintenance on facility systems and infrastructure as needed Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facility conditions Support facility security requirements as needed Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, including the machine shop Planning & Continuous Improvement Create and maintain preventive maintenance plans for assigned areas Track equipment performance and identify opportunities for improvement Order parts and manage materials in accordance with company procedures Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs Collaboration & Communication Communicate regularly with internal teams regarding equipment status and repair timelines Partner with outside contractors and service providers as needed Assist and support other Maintenance Technicians across departments Train and support employees in performing basic equipment maintenance Safety & Compliance Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements (OSHA, EPA, DOT, FDA, etc.) Participate in emergency response efforts, including Spill Response and First Aid teams Obtain and maintain required certifications, including mobile equipment operation Perform other duties as assigned to support business needs Qualifications Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required Technical certification or advanced training preferred Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment Experience with converting equipment, conveyor systems, and filling/packaging equipment preferred Technical Skills Experience with machine shop tools (welders, lathes, saws, drill presses, milling machines) Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, and control systems Experience with HVAC, ventilation systems, and boiler rooms is a plus Core Competencies Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment Effective communication and interpersonal skills Strong time management and organizational skills Adaptability in a fast-paced, changing environment Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities Work Environment & Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods of time Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment Exposure to varying temperatures and controlled chemicals On-call availability for after-hours emergencies as needed ITW is an equal opportunity employer. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with machine shop tools (welders, lathes, saws, drill presses, milling machines)
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, and control systems
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Nice To Haves

  • Technical certification or advanced training preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and non-routine maintenance on production equipment, including preventive maintenance tasks
