About The Position

In this role, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the community grounds are safe, organized, well-maintained, and fully stocked with necessary supplies. The technician will interact with residents, complete service requests and inspections in a timely and satisfactory manner, and play a key role in the upkeep of community assets and grounds. Teamwork is also an essential key to success in this role.

Requirements

• A valid in-state driver’s license is required
• Proficiency in industry specific software products including the use of electronic devices/tablets

Nice To Haves

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Previous home refurbishment or make-ready experience preferred
• HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Pool Operation experience are a PLUS
• OSHA certifications or completed trainings are a plus

Responsibilities

• Maintain rental inventory through preventative maintenance, work-orders, and home refurbs.
• Keep the community grounds, common areas, and vacant lots clean and free of debris and trash.
• Complete all work in a timely manner, without sacrificing quality or safety standards.
• Respond to after-hour emergency calls according to on-call schedule.
• Read water meters, identify, and resolve leaks within the community as applicable.
• Organize maintenance facilities, tools, and equipment.
• Aid in new home delivery and set-up and report any warranty/follow-up work to management.
• Deliver resident notices as requested by management.
• Participate in all required team/safety meetings.
• Uphold OSHA standards and maintain Personal Protective Equipment as required by State law.
• Maintain safe winter road conditions through snow removal and de-icing when applicable.
• Operate and maintain all company vehicles according to compliance and safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and residents.
• Ability to work safely around pets, service animals, and wildlife.
• Additional duties as assigned by management and subject to change.
