We’re seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure our facilities are safe, functional, and aligned with state and federal health and safety standards.

Requirements

  • Experienced in general building maintenance and repair.
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and responsive to facility needs.
  • Knowledgeable of safety, health, and building codes.
  • Able to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Flexible and collaborative, with a commitment to supporting children and families.
  • High school diploma, GED, or HSED required
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in building maintenance, facilities, or related field preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and perform physical tasks safely.
  • Pass a physical exam and background check.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections across assigned centers to ensure safe, operational facilities.
  • Respond to work orders promptly, resolving issues efficiently to minimize disruption to learning.
  • Assist with setup, cleaning, and preparation of classrooms and shared spaces as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, licensing standards, and Head Start Performance Standards.
