About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician - 2nd shift. At our Raleigh, NC location they engineer, manufacturer, and ship products related to electrical power distribution to 6 different segments. Some of those include Utilities, Institutions, Aerospace, and Residential. The Maintenance Technician role offers a 40-hour paid work week with hours being 2:30pm - 11:00am, Monday-Friday. The hourly rate for this position is $24.00 per hour plus $2.40 shift differential. Please note: This site will be moving to our new location in Youngsville, NC in the summer of 2026, which is approximately 25 minutes from our current site. The Maintenance Technician will work closely with production teams to support initiative including line set up and relocation, equipment modifications and repairs and preventative maintenance.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required from an accredited educational institution.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years maintenance experience.

  • Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic systems and devices
  • Ability to demonstrate working knowledge of the mechanical, electrical, and safety procedures of a manufacturing facility.
  • Ability to work daily and/or weekend overtime, willingness to flex to different areas or local plants as needed
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to climb a ladder.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Repetitive lifting, bending, and squatting is inherent to this position.
  • Hold a valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Hazardous waste management / Hazardous waste operations emergency response
  • Forklift and aerial lift certification
  • Lock Out / Tag Out Certified
  • HVAC training and / or certifications
  • OSHA 10-hour training
  • Basic experience with computers and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot equipment and make necessary repairs.
  • Record and schedule preventative maintenance.
  • Requisition parts, materials, labor and support to complete job tasks.
  • Fabricate replacement parts as needed for machinery.
  • Lead and manage special projects as required.
