Maintenance Technician
About The Position
The Maintenance Technician I works safely and responsibly in an industrial production environment, exposed to high voltages, hot and cold temperatures, indoors and outdoors, chemicals, confined spaces, and mechanical hazards. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical defects on all machinery and facilities, as well as completing preventive maintenance routines. All company employees are expected to continuously improve their skills and methods. Maintenance technicians will cross-train and assist others with troubleshooting process and production issues. The role also includes year-round groundskeeping and backing up the housekeeper when necessary.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 years experience preforming maintenance duties in an industrial setting.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- High level of dedication and motivation for your job with a positive attitude.
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Familiar with safety standards and PPE utilized in a manufacturing setting
- Must have reliable transportation
- Ability to read and write English
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to stay on task with minimal supervision
- Strong problem solving skills a must
- Strong communication skills and good attention to detail
- Education and/ or experience with electrical and mechanical maintenance
- Must provide required tools and secure storage for them.
- Excellent attendance with the requirement for overtime work as needed
- The ability to respond to an after-hours call in, promptly anytime day or night
- Basic Computer and industrial automation skills
