About The Position

Bridgestone Americas, Inc. The Bandag plant in Abilene has been in operation for over 50 years, producing tread rubber and retreading materials for Bandag dealers. Bandag is a critical piece of Bridgestone dedicated to the research, development, and manufacturing of premium retread tires. Bridgestone seeks energetic and motivated Maintenance Technicians to join our manufacturing team in Abilene, TX. Requirements

  • Must possess a High School diploma/GED, or equivalent (completed and verified prior to start).
  • Typically requires a high school degree; or 1-2 year vocational training / associates degree

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred 2 years of employment stability.
  • Preferred 1 -2 year vocational training/associate degree

Responsibilities

  • A focus on Safety First, Always!
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment
  • Responsible for processing work orders, data collection, and statistical analysis
  • Perform mechanical or technical training as needed to areas within the plant that are identified as developmental opportunities
  • Responsible for all aspects of preventative maintenance, including diagnostics, reporting, and repairs
  • Work alignment with and support Bandag Mission, Core Values, Quality Statements, and Plant Mission Statement
