About The Position

Established in 1958, Advance Storage Products is the country's leading manufacturer of pushback systems, producing nearly half of all systems sold in the US. Advance's LoPro Pushback racking solution is recognized as the "gold standard" for ease of installation, ease of operation, quality and durability. Our warehouse pallet racking solutions are used in major installations for many Fortune 500 companies. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of mechanical equipment, machines, electrical, plumbing, heating and air-conditioning systems, and small building projects. This position will support efficient manufacturing systems and standards of operations and work closely with Manufacturing Engineering and Plant Management to provide maintenance support.

Requirements

Five (5) years of industrial experience working heavy manufacturing equipment, utilizing hydraulics, pneumatics, and automated equipment.
Electrical experience required, Robotics experience a plus.
Roll forming experience preferred
Mechanical knowledge, which includes knowledge of punch presses, mig welders, conveyor systems, robotic welders, electrical motors, hydraulics, pneumatics and general maintenance of building.
Demonstrated knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
Knowledge of electrical (24vdc-480 vac)
Knowledge of PLCs
General Mechanical Ability
Ability to manage and track projects
Well-developed oral and written communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient in use of Microsoft suite of products
Customer focus (internally and externally)
Ability to prioritize and make quality decisions
Self-motivated

Nice To Haves

Electrical experience required, Robotics experience a plus.
Roll forming experience preferred
Robotics experience preferred

Responsibilities

Repairs or replaces defective equipment, motors and other parts.
Performs daily PM checks
Maintains overall safety, cleanliness and proper functions of tools, equipment and machinery.
Implements preventive and predictive maintenance for plant operations, machinery and equipment.
Provides oversight, troubleshoots, and programming of Programmable Logics Controls (PLCs).
Contributes substantially to capital improvement projects and continuous improvement initiatives
Orders equipment parts and maintains a spare parts inventory
Suggests changes/improvements in working conditions and the use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department and/or maintenance crews.
After hours call-ins
Performs other related duties as assigned
