This role is responsible for the overall maintenance of the physical plant, working under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager. The position involves participating in various maintenance projects, performing electrical and plumbing repairs, replacing broken items like glass, tile, carpet, and fixtures, and conducting interior and exterior painting. It also includes carpentry work, assisting with custodial and grounds work, and repairing concrete, masonry, roofing, and fencing. The technician will train other staff, participate in a standby emergency schedule, manage stock control, assist with apartment inspections and refurbishing, and perform scheduled equipment maintenance. Regular inspections of units, buildings, and common areas are required, along with knowledge of utility cutoffs and supplier contracts.
