About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on equipment and systems used in composite manufacturing. This position plays a critical role in minimizing downtime, ensuring operational efficiency, and upholding safety and quality standards in a fast-paced production environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED or HSE) required.
  • Technical degree or certification in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other quality management systems.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and technical skills.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and work in varying environmental conditions.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Frequently required to reach and use hands and arms continuously.
  • Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical degree or certification in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues and perform repairs on manufacturing machinery and facility systems.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on a wide variety of production and support equipment.
  • Fabricate and weld replacement parts, brackets, and fixtures as needed to support equipment repairs and modifications.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, schematics, and work orders.
  • Install, adjust, and calibrate new and existing production equipment.
  • Maintain detailed maintenance records in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Collaborate with operators and engineers to ensure machines operate safely and efficiently.
  • Adhere to all OSHA and company safety regulations, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) and PPE protocols.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory of spare parts and maintenance tools.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and suggest enhancements for equipment performance.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests.
  • Monitor and achieve established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as production output, quality standards, efficiency, and safety compliance, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with company goals.
  • Keep work area clean and organized to prevent safety hazards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
