About The Position

Maintenance Technician Position Summary The Machine / Equipment Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production machinery and facility equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. This role supports manufacturing uptime by performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and responding to equipment breakdowns in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or vocational training preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance (preferred)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of electrical systems
  • Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, drives, and basic PLC troubleshooting a plus
  • Ability to read schematics, diagrams, and equipment manuals
  • Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand, bend, kneel, or climb for extended periods

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on production machinery, tools, and facility equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Diagnose equipment failures and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime
  • Maintain and repair industrial equipment such as winding/weaving machines, material-handling equipment
  • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, manuals, and technical documentation
  • Replace worn or defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and precision instruments
  • Support equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and parts usage records
  • Follow all safety procedures, OSHA regulations, and company policies
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and leadership teams to improve equipment reliability
  • Keep maintenance areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
  • Respond to emergency maintenance calls as needed, including occasional after-hours or weekend work
