About The Position

The Maintenance Technician at Holiday Inn Express Two Notch Road Columbia SC plays a critical role in ensuring the hotel’s facilities and equipment are operating efficiently and safely to provide guests with a comfortable and pleasant stay. Collaboration with other hotel departments is essential to prioritize maintenance tasks and respond promptly to guest requests or emergencies. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, painting, drywall, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate maintenance equipment safely.
• Familiar with hotel lock systems Onity, Doormakaba, Saflok.
• Working knowledge of PTAC units.
• Familiar with Quore.

Nice To Haves

• Certification in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing trades.
• Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Knowledge of safety standards and regulations such as OSHA.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Previous experience working in a hotel or hospitality environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems to ensure optimal operation.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from hotel staff and guests, diagnosing issues and completing repairs efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Collaborate with management and other departments to schedule maintenance activities that minimize disruption to hotel operations and guest experience.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and hotel policies by following proper procedures and using appropriate personal protective equipment.
