The Maintenance Technician is responsible for addressing guest repair requests and performing a wide range of maintenance tasks to ensure the proper functioning and aesthetic appeal of the property. This includes conducting preventive maintenance on various tools and equipment, such as those found in kitchens and mechanical rooms, and performing visual inspections. Key duties involve identifying and operating shut-off valves for utilities and equipment, managing maintenance inventory, and communicating daily activities and issues across shifts. The role requires basic knowledge or the ability to quickly learn about air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems, carpentry, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and general building maintenance. The technician will also handle surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repairs, light bulb and A/C filter replacements, and ensure thorough clean-up of work areas. Troubleshooting and basic repairs on equipment, plumbing, and electrical components, including guestroom items like TVs and internet devices, are also part of the job. Additionally, the technician will perform repairs on interior and exterior landscaping, manage general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory, and utilize the Lockout/Tagout system for safety. Basic computer skills are necessary for tasks like inputting air handler schedules and making temperature adjustments. The position emphasizes adherence to safety protocols, company policies, and providing excellent customer service to guests.
