Requirements

Must have a solid organizational, analytical problem solving and communication skills.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and understand instructions.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Being able to resolve issues/problems that involve numerous variables in demanding situations.
Required to manipulate, lift and position heavy equipment.
Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel and crawl.
Must be able to work in a cool environment of less than 60 degrees F.
Must be able to regularly lift and carry up to 50lbs.
Requires occasional climbing of steps, safety ladders.
Requires continuous walking and standing.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot electrical issues and equipment breakdowns.
Effectively support the PM program while keeping downtime to a minimum.
Perform preventative and repair maintenance on production equipment, heating and cooling systems, ingredient handling systems and plumbing systems.
Start machines and equipment to test operation flowing repair.
Record preventative maintenance tasks and work orders in a timely manner.
Complete work orders and respond to maintenance calls on the production floor in a timely manner to prevent downtime.
Install, maintain, repair, and overhaul production equipment.
Install and maintain electrical equipment/controls, circuits and PLC.
Troubleshoot and identify worn parts and rebuild machine assemblies, pumps, meters, valves, valve actuators and other equipment.
Safe handling and use of various chemicals with strict adherence to hazardous communication and requirements.
Maintain good sanitation and housekeeping of work areas.
