About The Position

We are hiring a Maintenance Technician to support daily maintenance across three multi‑family communities located close to one another in the Richmond area. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, takes pride in keeping communities running smoothly, and delivers excellent customer service. Position Details Full‑time: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM On‑call rotation required and availability for overtime during emergencies including snow preparation and removal. Requirements

  • 6+ months of apartment or general maintenance experience (or related field
  • Knowledge of basic safety procedures and maintenance trades (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting)
  • Strong customer service skills with a service-oriented attitude
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions
  • High integrity, reliability, and professionalism
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including climbing ladders, lifting 50+ lbs., and using tools/equipment safely
  • Ability to promote positive relationships and trust with residents, co-workers, and company staff
  • Always displays a friendly and courteous attitude toward residents and team members
  • Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment
  • Detail-oriented with strong time management skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Successful completion of physical, drug, and background screenings
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Willingness to rotate on-call shifts and work overtime for emergencies or snow preparation and removal

  • HVAC certification a bonus, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Complete resident work orders promptly, professionally, and safely
  • Assist with apartment turnovers, including repairs, painting, and cleaning
  • Perform general maintenance: plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repairs
  • Maintain common areas, grounds, and exterior amenities
  • Support upkeep of a clean, safe, welcoming community environment
  • Coordinate daily with the on‑site manager and communicate effectively with residents
  • Respond to emergency calls as scheduled
  • Maintain maintenance shop organization and comply with all safety policies
