About The Position

The Retreat at Champion's Gate is excited to announce the opportunity of
Maintenance Technician. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing
a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the efficient and effective operation
of the facilities and equipment. This role requires a detail-oriented individual
with strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to maintaining a high
standard of safety and functionality.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in maintenance or related field preferred.
• Experience in facility maintenance or a similar role.
• 5+ years of general maintenance experience required
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and diagrams.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical capability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and working in various environmental conditions.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to be on-call for emergencies and respond promptly to urgent maintenance requests.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends, as required.

Responsibilities

• Routine Maintenance: Perform regular inspections and maintenance of buildings, equipment, and systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.). Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment.
• Repairs: Diagnose and repair issues with mechanical systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and other facility components. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, ensuring minimal disruption to residents and operations.
• Facility Upkeep: Maintain the appearance and functionality of all common areas, including landscaping, walkways, and recreational facilities. Assist in setting up, taking down, and storing equipment for events and activities as needed.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and replacements.
• Inventory Management: Manage inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies; ensure availability of necessary materials for maintenance tasks. Order and replenish supplies as needed, keeping within budgetary constraints.
• Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with the facility team to develop and implement maintenance schedules and plans. Communicate effectively with team members, residents, and contractors to coordinate maintenance activities and resolve issues.
