JOB SUMMARY: The Maintenance Tech I position is designed to for someone with a broad range of skills that the refine over time to install, troubleshoot, repair or decommission a large range of CNC, mechanical, electrical and hydraulic equipment.

Requirements

  • Ability to grasp, manipulate or assemble objects.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Capability of working from verbal instructions.
  • Engage in a team environment to resolve issues.
  • Show initiative and have the ability to work independently on primary responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn the use of calipers, micrometers and load test equipment.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to use power tools/hand tools.
  • Ability to read/understand blue prints and wiring schematics (training provided).
  • OSHA10 preferred, training provided if needed.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Ability to lift/move and/or push/pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand and/or walk 8+ hours per day
  • Use of one or both hands grasp, move, or assemble objects

Responsibilities

  • CNC machine troubleshooting (electrical, mechanical, & hydraulic), not programming or computers other than testing standard connectors, etc.
  • Electrical wiring
  • Drive + Servo troubleshooting
  • Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Basic HVAC troubleshoot/repair
  • Piping
  • Rigging
  • Welding + Steel Fabricating
  • Machinery installation and/or modification
  • Design & creation of various fixtures and/or jigs used in production or quality department
  • Grind room equipment maintenance & wheel replacement
  • Perform preventative maintenance on machines and ovens per P.M. schedule.
  • Other tasks as requested
  • Experience with Six Sigma
