About The Position

The Maintenance Technician performs routine activities throughout the facility to maintain production equipment and prevent downtime. These activities include preventive maintenance, daily equipment repairs, following up on work orders, and trouble shooting to identify equipment issues. This role is also required to periodically be on call to cover non routine maintenance activities that occur during off hours.

  • Must be able to work overtime if needed.
  • Must be able to work on-call rotation after hours and on weekends
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years exp in industrial maintenance in an manufacturing environment
  • Must be able to read reports and use computer
  • Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with co-workers
  • Must be able to stand at workbench for equipment repair.
  • Walking throughout the plant performing routine maintenance.
  • Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling
  • Lifting/Pulling/Pushing:
  • Dexterity/Grasping/Feeling: Using hand tools
  • Proper use and compliance with safety PPE and safety procedures
  • Various exposure to elements with outdoor work around facilities if needed
  • Routinely exerting up to (50+) pounds of force.
  • All applicants must successfully pass an interview, background check and drug/alcohol screening.

Nice To Haves

  • 3-5 years of Industrial Maintenance a plus
  • Metal work a plus (mig, tig, stick welding, torch and plasma cutting)
  • Exp with Allen Bradley Drives or other PLC’s
  • Technical School certifications a plus

Responsibilities

  • Monthly preventive maintenance tasks
  • Troubleshooting electric and pneumatic pumps
  • Repair and rebuilding of diaphragm pumps from ¾” to 3” sizes
  • Changing of mechanical seals in centrifugal pumps
  • Repair and rebuilding of gear pumps
  • Shaft alignment for pumps
  • Minor electrical work
  • General facility upkeep and routine repairs
  • Metal work a plus (mig, tig, stick welding, torch and plasma cutting)
  • Ability to work on projects and work orders with minimum supervision
  • Basic computer skills (create and fill out work orders on a web based system)
  • Routine lifting (50+ lbs) required
  • Exp with Allen Bradley Drives or other PLC’s
