About The Position

Altabank, Division of Glacier Bank, is hiring a Full-time Maintenance Technician servicing all our locations of our division branch network. The Maintenance Technician assists the Facilities & Security Manager with facility service requests, scheduled preventative maintenance and upkeep of all division office buildings and equipment and to ensure that all facilities are kept in good repair, are functioning properly and provide a safe environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of similar or related experience.
  • A high school education or GED.
  • Various degrees of physical labor, lifting, hauling, and moving will be required
  • Physical strength and mobility to be able to perform maintenance and repair of systems located at each bank facilities
  • Aptitude or basic experience with building maintenance
  • Ability to observe and operate various mechanical systems is required
  • A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required in addition to normal courtesy and tact.
  • Involves personal contact with others and is usually of a personal or sensitive nature.
  • Must be able to communicate with management through electronic means.
  • Attention to detail is expected.
  • Employee must be capable of interacting calmly and professionally with a variety of people from diverse backgrounds at various levels within and outside of the organization.
  • Employee must be capable of regular, reliable, and timely attendance.
  • Ability to adapt to change (e.g. shifting priorities, demands, and timelines) through time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with managing and working service requests and determine necessary corrective action for all Altabank facilities
  • Ensure assigned maintenance activities are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Adhere to preventive maintenance programs such as HVAC filter replacement, light bulbs, painting/touch up, etc., as required
  • Coordinates and performs basic painting, carpentry, acoustical ceiling work, and masonry work. This includes repair to suites, door hardware, wood working and other special projects.
  • Maintain accurate records for all maintenance and repairs to each facility location.
  • Coordinate employee, equipment and furniture moves.
  • Ability to work occasional overtime
  • Maintain and update CapEx service schedule document for each facility to ensure repair/replacement has been performed and when next service is due.
  • Ensures successful completion of assigned facility projects, by timely execution and within agreed upon budgetary constraints.
  • Assist with maintenance and upkeep of security and safety systems including, but not limited to, digital video recorders (DVRs) and cameras, access controls and fire/burglar alarms. Ensure periodic inspections are performed and keep organized records of the results.
  • Interface with associates in resolving facilities related issues
  • Interface with vendors and specialized trade contractors to implement repairs, etc.
  • Driver's license required for travel to various locations throughout the bank branch system
  • Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
  • Complete required bank training courses within assigned time frame(s). It is the individual learner responsibility to ensure that they understand the information given to them in each training. If the learner does not understand the information given, they need to reach out to their supervisor for further clarification or additional training.
