About The Position

If necessary, an interpreter will convey the information as needed.   Necessary Competencies: (7.1.3)  Examples:  ·This position is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Mega Jet water portioning systems and related DSI equipment. This role ensures optimal equipment performance to support production efficiency, product quality, and food safety standards

Requirements

  • 2+ years of maintenance experience in food processing (poultry preferred)
  • Experience with water portioning systems, injectors, or DSI equipment preferred
  • Knowledge of pumps, valves, and fluid systems
  • Knowledge of pneumatics and basic electrical systems
  • Ability to read schematics and technical manuals
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Standing and/or walking during the entire shift and wearing of  proper PPE.
  • Requires considerable reaching, lifting, and bending
  • Work in wet, cold environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance on Mega Jet and water portioning systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and water flow issues
  • Calibrate water portioning equipment to ensure accurate injection levels
  • Monitor system performance and adjust pressure, flow rates, and timing as needed
  • Inspect pumps, valves, nozzles, filters, and regulators for wear or damage
  • Maintain and repair DSI injection systems and associated components
  • Respond to breakdowns quickly to minimize production downtime
  • Work closely with production and QA teams to ensure proper product yield and quality
  • Follow all food safety (USDA), OSHA, and company safety guidelines
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation
  • Assist with equipment installation, upgrades, and modifications
  • Answer radio calls throughout the shift
  • Preventative Maintenance of equipment when plant is down
  • Follow all safety requirements including using the proper PPE
