About The Position

The Manufacturing Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of manufacturing equipment and machinery to ensure smooth and efficient production operations. This role involves working with a variety of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to maintain equipment reliability and minimize downtime.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, as well as maintenance best practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical certification or vocational training in maintenance, mechanical, electrical, or industrial technology is preferred.
  • Certification in maintenance or specialized areas (e.g., electrical, hydraulic systems).
  • Familiarity with maintenance management software and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and machinery according to established procedures and schedules.
  • Conduct inspections, lubrication, and adjustments to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues affecting equipment performance.
  • Perform corrective repairs and adjustments to resolve equipment malfunctions and restore functionality.
  • Assist in the setup, calibration, and alignment of new or modified equipment and machinery.
  • Ensure that equipment is properly adjusted to meet production specifications and quality standards.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
  • Prepare and submit reports on equipment status, maintenance issues, and completed tasks.
  • Assist in the management of spare parts and maintenance supplies, including inventory tracking and ordering as needed.
  • Ensure that tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored.
  • Work closely with production staff, supervisors, and other maintenance team members to coordinate maintenance activities and address equipment issues.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and provide updates on maintenance status and equipment performance.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend solutions to enhance equipment reliability and maintenance efficiency.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in maintenance technology and techniques.
