Maintenance Technician - JLL What this job involves: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for overseeing all mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems within the facility, ensuring optimal building operations, safety compliance, and leading a team of technicians and contractors to maintain critical infrastructure systems. What is your day to day? Monitor, operate, and maintain HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical systems including UPS and generator functions. Perform and oversee preventive maintenance tasks. Manage workflow via CMMS, and complete compliance inspections and regulatory requirements on schedule with minimal building disruption. Supervise contractors, vendors, and service providers to ensure work completion within SLA standards, including scheduling, escorting, and serving as site point of contact. Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and parts through purchase orders and periodic checks. Identify safety hazards, implement remediation measures, administer safety training programs, and ensure compliance with all regulatory laws and building infrastructure requirements. Work closely with Operations Manager, understand Statement of Work requirements, maintain clean/safe workplace, and perform additional duties as requested while complying with JLL/Client safety policies.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in general building repair and maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical.
  • Proficient computer skills including Word, Excel, and MS Office.
  • Candidate must be able to work independently and effectively to perform duties with little direct supervision.
  • Schedule flexibility required to meet client operational needs.
  • Work in various indoor/outdoor environments and weather conditions.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, standing, walking, and working in various positions for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift equipment and materials up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • EPA Universal 608 certification.
  • Electrical / HVAC license or equivalent trade certifications.
  • Commercial buildings/systems knowledge.
  • Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Knowledge of safe working practices including LOTO and hot work permits.
  • Experience with emergency power systems, generators, and ATS operations and basic electrical troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of the safe and proper use of ladders, lifts, basic hand tools, voltmeter, manual drain auger, safety goggles, ear protection, and fire extinguishers.
  • The ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule format.
