Job Summary/Technical Knowledge Identify hazards and maintain clean and organized working areas Understand and execute procedures for routine preventive maintenance and basic repairs of a variety of Saronic equipment. Be a technical resource for our production and procurement teams Knowledge of the installation, repair, and maintenance of the mechanical and electrical systems; and the related components of industrial machinery and equipment Will be required to work aloft (on scaffold or on manlifts) and in confined spaces. On site training is provided. Job Proficiency Perform routine maintenance and inspections on shipyard equipment, including but not limited to: telehandlers, forklifts, cherry pickers, manlifts, welding machines, power tools, industrial manufacturing equipment, compressors, etc. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical and pneumatic issues to ensure optimal shipyard operations Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize equipment failures and downtime Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities including repairs made and parts used Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment as necessary Performing routine maintenance and emergency repairs Culture and Collaboration Follow all shipyard safety policies, including proper use of PPE, fire prevention, and confined space protocols. Assist in the training and development of junior maintenance technicians Collaborate and communicate with welders, metal fitters, pipefitters, electricians, and other trades as required to complete vessel construction or repair and to maintain efficient work flows Work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced ship production environment Maintain a clean and safe work area Maintain a positive attitude toward customers and represent Saronic professionally Make a personal commitment and be accountable for HSE results, driving toward the achievement of defined goals Collaborate with Maintenance Supervisor(s), Production Manager(s), and other team members to prioritize and schedule maintenance tasks
