As the Maintenance Technician , you will be responsible for the repair and upkeep of RITALKA's properties, including machines, mechanical systems, buildings, and other structures. What does the Maintenance Technician do at RITALKA? Building Maintenance – Performs routine building updates and repairs at all company facilities, including plumbing, mechanical, and electrical systems. Helps keep buildings in Minnesota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin operating safely and efficiently. Construction Support – Assists with facility upgrade projects and building improvements. May help with construction tasks, equipment installation, and coordinating with contractors when projects are underway. Janitorial Support – Helps maintain company standards for cleanliness and organization across multiple facilities to ensure safe, professional working environments. Lawn & Facility Grounds Care – Performs routine grounds maintenance such as mowing, trimming, and general upkeep around company facilities. Snow Removal – Assists with snow and ice removal when needed to keep parking lots, walkways, and facility access points safe during winter weather. Fleet Maintenance Assistance – Helps inspect company vehicles when on site to keep the fleet safe and operational. Strategic Planning – Works with Maintenance Director to plan for future development in line with strategic business objectives; assist in calculating and comparing costs for required goods or services to achieve maximum value for money and ensure minimum disruption to core activities. Key focus areas: safety repairs & general maintenance, clean and well-functioning facilities, and client "touch point" upgrades. What are we looking for in a great Maintenance Technician? Requirements

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Able to travel frequently, occasionally overnight
  • Active driver's license with a good driving record
  • Above average knowledge in building maintenance and light to heavy construction
  • Ability to multitask and respond appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise and deal with the consequences
  • Ability to prioritize projects for best results and meet deadlines successfully
  • Strong communication skills with all levels of management
  • Must be able to lift and/or move items of 50 lbs or more on a periodic basis
  • Must be able to climb, bend, kneel, crawl and stoop on a periodic basis
  • OR any combination of education and experience that would provide the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be acceptable.
