About The Position

The Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the ongoing functionality, safety, and cleanliness of the manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for performing routine and emergency repairs, preserving the integrity of the building’s physical infrastructure, and supporting the Plant Manager with various operational tasks. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Minimum 0 - 2 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • 3 years of experience with strong technical skills in mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems, along with hands-on experience in general facility repairs and equipment maintenance.
  • Effective communication, attention to safety protocols, and the ability to proactively identify and resolve issues are also essential for ensuring a safe, efficient, and well-maintained facility.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must have essential experience with Microsoft platforms, including Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general upkeep of the facility and surrounding property, including replacing lighting fixtures, repairing equipment, and ensuring overall cleanliness and organization.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and address issues proactively.
  • Assist with various facility-related tasks such as furniture setup and relocation, basic carpentry, plumbing repairs, refurbishing, and painting projects.
  • Execute both corrective and preventive maintenance on packaging machinery, powered equipment, electrical systems, and HVAC units to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Maintain and repair facility equipment as needed, ensuring all tools and materials are properly used and stored.
  • Adhere to corporate safety protocols and procedures at all times.
  • Ensure compliance with access control regulations and maintain a secure working environment.
  • Collaborate with the Plant Manager to report and plan for maintenance issues or emergency situations.
  • Notify the Plant Manager when external vendors or specialized technicians are required for repairs or inspections.
  • Regularly inspect and evaluate mechanical and electrical systems within the building to ensure functionality, safety, and compliance with operational standards.
