About The Position

We are looking for a hands-on, high-energy maintenance technician to keep our 170-room property in championship condition. At the Best Western Plus Kansas City Sports Complex, you aren't just fixing leaks; you’re ensuring that every guest, from baseball fans to business travelers, has a flawless stay in a safe, comfortable, and beautiful environment. Your goal is to stay ahead of the game. You’ll be responsible for the behind the scenes magic that keeps our pool sparkling, our HVAC systems humming, and our guest rooms looking brand new.

Requirements

General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems is required.
You’re comfortable standing, walking, and climbing for your shift, and you can lift up to 50 lbs (or more when the job calls for it).
You maintain a friendly demeanor when interacting with guests and are always willing to lend a hand.
You are available for a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays—because the game goes on, rain or shine.

Nice To Haves

A certified pool operator certification is a huge plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate!

Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on guest rooms, public areas, and building systems to stop problems before they start.
Maintain our indoor pool, ensuring chemical balance and cleanliness are always on point.
Tackle daily work orders with speed—everything from minor plumbing and electrical repairs to fixing TVs and patching drywall.
Keep our exterior, parking lot, and landscaping looking sharp for that perfect first impression.
Regularly test fire alarms, emergency lighting, and security systems to keep our "fans" safe.
Work closely with Housekeeping and the Front Desk to prioritize repairs and ensure rooms are ready for check-in.
