About The Position

Corteva Agriscience is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team at the Doniphan, NE production facility. This role is integral to supporting plant operations and delivering maintenance support for capital projects. The technician will be responsible for maintaining the plant shop and maintenance tools, and actively contributing to Process Safety Management and location safety efforts. Key duties include conducting seasonal preparation work, ensuring proper setup, calibration, operation, and preventative maintenance of equipment and facilities. The position also involves leading and assisting with grounds and facility maintenance, utilizing predictive maintenance tools, creating and updating preventative maintenance plans, and completing fabrication projects to enhance plant processes. The successful candidate will maintain detailed equipment records, plan and schedule maintenance work, manage the Enterprise Asset Management system, analyze metrics for improvement, order parts, lead maintenance effectiveness initiatives, and collaborate with vendors and contractors. This on-site role requires a motivated individual with a steady work history, initiative, a love for learning, and a strong work ethic, within a safe and innovative environment that fosters personal and professional growth. Requirements

  • You have your high school diploma/GED.
  • You know how to schedule work/jobs and you do a great job of following-up on completion status.
  • You have a valid US drivers license.
  • You are willing and able to lead team meetings.
  • You are flexible and can adapt to changing priorities.
  • You have strong computer skills.
  • You have demonstrated problem solving, teamwork and communication skills.
  • You are willing and able to climb and/or work in elevated areas; stand/sit for extended periods, work indoors/outdoors and in hot/cold, dry/wet conditions.
  • You are willing and able to lift up to 50 lbs. (with or without reasonable accommodations) and complete work that involves repetitive motion and/or repetitive lifting.
  • You are willing and able to work a primarily day shift schedule as well as overtime hours, on call availability and occasional shift work including nights and weekends when necessary.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of heating/cooling, refrigeration, security, materials handling equipment (i.e., conveyors, elevator legs, packaging equipment, etc.) or other mechanical/electrical systems.
  • Millwright skills, especially relevant to the seed industry.
  • Welding skills.
  • Forklift driving skills.
  • Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic repair and test equipment.
  • Basic process control understanding.
  • 2-3 years of industrial maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support plant operations.
  • Deliver maintenance support for capital projects.
  • Maintain condition of the plant shop and maintenance tools.
  • Support Process Safety Management and location safety efforts.
  • Conduct seasonal prep work including annual preventative maintenance, repairs, and improvements.
  • Assure proper set-up, calibration, operation, and preventative maintenance of equipment, machines, and facilities.
  • Lead, assist and complete grounds and facility maintenance as needed.
  • Utilize predictive maintenance tools to detect and remedy future machine failures.
  • Create, continually update and train preventative maintenance plans for various equipment.
  • Complete fabrication projects to improve plant processes.
  • Maintain detailed equipment records and prints.
  • Plan and schedule maintenance work for the location.
  • Maintain Enterprise Asset Management system: ensure work order quality, PM plans, and provide user training/support, etc.
  • Analyze metrics to improve uptime, reduce costs and maintain quality data.
  • Order parts for equipment and kit to coincide with scheduled maintenance activities.
  • Lead efforts to improve maintenance effectiveness.
  • Work with vendors and contractors to safely and effectively complete work.
  • Prepare, schedule and gather data for weekly strategic planning meeting with operations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
