About The Position

The position will work as a shift maintenance technician and will be responsible for addressing and correcting equipment issues/breakdowns during the course of assigned shift. Areas of responsibility include manufacturing assets at the site as well as utilities equipment needed to support lines of business.

Requirements

• 1-2 years’ experience as a maintenance technician.
• Ability to understand and work with various types of machinery and the tools required to work on each.
• Willing to work flexible hours when needed.
• Good physical condition. Note: Job requires extensive physical activity to include heavy lifting, climbing ladders, heights, etc.
• Valid State Driver’s License required.
• Established maintenance experience
• Knowledge of work-safety issues, regulations and programs, and utility ordinances.
• Work well in a team environment with a diverse group of people.
• Attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in manufacturing/shipping a plus
• Experience in Industrial manufacturing a plus.
• Good mechanical, organizational, time-management, communication, and prioritization skills.

Responsibilities

• Initiate, implement, and manage the plant maintenance program based on best practices with an emphasis on planning/scheduling and preventive maintenance using equipment vendor guidance.
• Operate and maintain a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking work orders, spare parts, and maintenance history of plant equipment.
• Monitor the use and inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment and initiates reordering when necessary.
• Perform preventive and corrective/emergent maintenance tasks across the warehouse and production areas including installed equipment, facilities, and forklifts.
• Ensure assigned projects are completed timely, correctly, safely and to the standard.
• Understand, operate, and train operators on installed production equipment. Operate equipment as may be necessary during the performance of duties to include forklift, scissors lifts, etc.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
