This is an interview position. 3rd shift - Monday-Friday 10pm-6:30am, overtime and weekends as needed 10% shift differential when working off shift hours $2/hr extra when working Saturday and Sundays Essential duties Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production Prepares and sets up machinery for scheduled production runs Performs maintenance including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines Conducts preventative maintenance service Disassembles problem equipment and determines the extent of necessary repairs Rebuilds complicated machine tools and special purpose machines and plant equipment Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service Operates forklifts Performs necessary facility maintenance Input data in several types of software platforms including Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) Communicates and supports company policies and decisions in a positive manner maintain open communication with managers and leaders Performs other duties within the department as may be assigned Requirements Ability to direct and motivate other team members to complete specific tasks Analytical skills and advanced electrical/mechanical problem-solving skills and the ability to give technical guidance to other team members. Experience in machine modifications and rebuilds Ability to work autonomously with limited supervision. Flexible work schedule and the ability to work other shifts as needed and to work overtime and weekends. Basic Computer Skills Able to obtain Forklift/Scissor lift license Experience with a multimeter a must Excellent communication skills. Excellent computer skills Education, etc. Requires a high school diploma/GED Two-Year technical degree or 5+ years of experience in an Electrical-Mechanical technician role.
