Position Summary - Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing folding-carton packaging equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of production equipment. Perform preventive maintenance tasks, corrective maintenance tasks. Diagnose electrical and mechanical failures, to minimize unscheduled downtime.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years’ experience performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of industrial machinery; packaging-equipment experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated understanding of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and basic electrical systems.
  • Proven ability to read and apply information from technical documentation and electrical/mechanical schematics.
  • Proficient with diagnostic equipment (Laptop, PLC Software, VFD Programming).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with applied learning ability.
  • Dependable, trustworthy, and able to work in a team-based environment.
  • Customer-first mindset with results orientation.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical trade school, junior college or relevant technical certifications (electrical, industrial maintenance, PLC, etc.).
  • Experience with folding-carton packaging machinery, Lithographic Printers, and related control systems.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while performing all job duties.
  • Diagnose PLC faults, VFD and other communication faults using laptop and other programming tools.
  • Use specialized electrical tools such as Megohm Meters, Amp Meter, Digital Multimeters.
  • Properly diagnose Mechanical, Electrical, Pneumatic, and Hydraulic failures.
  • Perform timely and through repairs to restore equipment to OEM specs and condition.
  • document routine repairs and preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance tasks to keep machine in optimal running condition while reducing unexpected failures and downtime.
  • Test equipment after repairs are made or maintenance tasks are completed to ensure proper operation and quality output.
  • Use appropriate power and hand tools safely to perform maintenance and repairs.
  • Read and interpret information from technical manuals for complex repairs and calibration settings.
  • Ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics for both troubleshooting and completing parts lists for repair items.
  • Conduct trend analysis of breakdowns and unscheduled downtime to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions, individually or as part of a team.
  • Support parts inventory management and recommend spare parts to minimize downtime.
  • Document details of work performed, parts used, and labor utilized in CMMS system.
  • Provide technical support and training to production staff as needed.
