Requirements

High school junior or senior
You are enrolled within a qualified Youth Apprentice Program
You’ve got a passion for figuring out how things work
You are interested in a future career within maintenance
Basic know-how with tools and machinery
Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams (don’t worry, we’ll teach you!)
Comfortable working with computers and maintenance systems
Good communication skills and a positive attitude
Have a strong math competency and strong reading comprehension
Follow instructions
Be dependable and punctual

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot mechanical/electrical problems as they arise in production machinery and equipment
Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks on production facility machinery and equipment
Assist in documentation of machine issues and repairs as needed
Assist with monitoring equipment for correct operation
Identify maintenance requirements
Assist with performing safety checks and lubrication procedures
Assist with basic equipment repair
Perform other duties as assigned by Technical Services Manager or Maintenance Supervisor
