About The Position

Join our dynamic team as a Maintenance Youth Apprentice! Under the guidance of our Technical Training Manager, you'll provide essential maintenance support to our plant operations and facilities. Requirements

  • High school junior or senior
  • You are enrolled within a qualified Youth Apprentice Program
  • You’ve got a passion for figuring out how things work
  • You are interested in a future career within maintenance
  • Basic know-how with tools and machinery
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams (don’t worry, we’ll teach you!)
  • Comfortable working with computers and maintenance systems
  • Good communication skills and a positive attitude 
  • Have a strong math competency and strong reading comprehension
  • Follow instructions 
  • Be dependable and punctual

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot mechanical/electrical problems as they arise in production machinery and equipment
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks on production facility machinery and equipment
  • Assist in documentation of machine issues and repairs as needed
  • Assist with monitoring equipment for correct operation
  • Identify maintenance requirements
  • Assist with performing safety checks and lubrication procedures
  • Assist with basic equipment repair
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Technical Services Manager or Maintenance Supervisor
