About The Position
Morgan Properties offers a full-time paid training program, the Fix It Forward Program, designed to train individuals to become Maintenance Technicians. No prior apartment maintenance experience is required, making it suitable for dependable individuals eager to learn hands-on work. The program typically spans 3 to 6 months and is structured into three progressive levels: Beginner (focusing on safety, tools, and basic tasks), Intermediate (involving more complex repairs with less supervision), and Advanced (preparing for complex work and a permanent role). Participants receive pay increases as they advance through each training level, with a $1/hour raise at each step and a final increase upon permanent hire. The curriculum covers essential skills such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair, alongside apartment turns, groundskeeping, preventative maintenance, customer service, and safety procedures. Upon successful completion and permanent placement, employees become eligible for a comprehensive benefits package.
