About The Position

The Maintenance Tech - Welder Pipefitter is responsible for Fabrication and installation. Construct new piping systems from blueprints and other specifications. This includes selecting the correct pipe type and size, cutting, threading, and bending pipes to the required angles, and assembling pipe sections using various joining methods.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 5+ years related experience
• Lift 50 LBS

Nice To Haves

• Welding Certificate preferred
• Journeyman Welding Card Preferred
• Multi skilled craftsman a plus

Responsibilities

• Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial production and processing systems, applying knowledge of system operation, and following blueprints
• Maintains pipe systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial production and processing systems, applying knowledge of system operation
• Repairs leaks in piping for steam, condensate, cooling and compressed air piping
• Lays out repairs and new installations of piping, plans work according to
• Performs repairs and installations of threaded, slip-joint, glued and welded pipe
• Installs, maintains and repairs support systems for piping installations, including hangers, and floor mounted
• Supports other maintenance functions with welding
• Bends and cuts pipe, and drills holes in walls, floors, and ceilings for plumbing connections as
• Connects plumbing to equipment, replaces plumbing fixtures and connections as
• Operating man-lift and small crane (With proper training)
• Cuts out and joins parts for worktables, benches, shelves and other
• Clears clogged drains, and replaces plumbing
• Operates welding machine to repair or join metal
• Cleans work area, tools, and
• Understanding and knowledge of Safety
• General housekeeping in maintenance areas and operating areas using prescribed company procedures
• Performs other routine duties, including but not limited to, inspections and preventative maintenance of plumbing systems, and other facility related activities
• Performing work duties at various heights
• Adhere strictly to all environmental, health, and safety (EHS) policies including process safety management , lock out tag out, procedures
