About The Position

Join a high energy facilities maintenance team that maintains seven buildings in Hagerstown, MD and several regional locations. You will be working with experienced HVAC, electrical and facility maintenance technicians who maintain diverse commercial HVAC, electrical, air compressor & fire suppression systems. If it has to do with maintaining a facility we do it. The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains – air, land, sea, space and cyber. Responsibilities: Conduct specialized maintenance and repair tasks on advanced HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Lead maintenance projects, ensuring timely and efficient completion. Train and mentor maintenance technicians to develop their skills and knowledge. Create and implement comprehensive maintenance plans to enhance system reliability. Coordinate with vendors to ensure high-quality service and compliance with contracts. Ensure all maintenance activities comply with industry regulations and safety standards. Qualifications You Must Have: High school diploma or GED equivalent. 5+ years of experience in a commercial/industrial HVAC field. Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience. Expert knowledge of HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Valid driver's license. Experience with safe use of tools and equipment. Applicant will have HVAC and refrigeration experience, know the principles and their application to the installation, maintenance and repair of HVAC and refrigeration equipment, systems, and devices. They will know the application and use of testing equipment used in checking, testing and analyzing HVAC systems. Also the methods, materials, tools, safety practices and equipment used in the HVAC trade. Some commercial electrical experience is needed. Aerial lift & mobile work platform equipment experience is required of heights up to 60'. Computer skills for entry and retrieval of information for work assignments in different applications. Need to be able to obtain DOT clearance to operate company vehicles & equipment. Able to multi task different skill sets on any given day. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly. Ability to stand and walk for most of the work shift. Manual dexterity to handle tools and equipment. Ability to work in potentially hazardous or loud environments. Ability to travel as required. This posting will be open for application for a minimum of 5 days and may be extended based on business needs. Estimated Starting Salary Range: $30.35 - $41.73. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
