The City of Roanoke is seeking a crew lead for the Trails & Greenways section of the Parks and Recreation Department! The successful candidate will lead and assist a small work crew of highly-skilled Maintenance Technicians and semi-skilled and/or unskilled seasonal Maintenance Workers in performing natural and paved trail and greenway maintenance. Activities include but are not limited to: trash collection, mowing, construction and maintenance of natural surface trails, concrete work, light construction projects, and amenity maintenance. Additional duties may be assigned such as leading volunteer groups, snow removal, and other emergency tasks. May require night and weekend hours. Minimum qualifications include: high school diploma or general education degree (GED), valid Virginia driver's license, and three to five years' experience and/or training in designated trades area.
