About The Position

The Maintenance Technician III is a senior-level role responsible for leading complex maintenance tasks, troubleshooting advanced equipment issues, and mentoring junior technicians. This position requires extensive technical expertise and leadership skills, ensuring that the company’s manufacturing equipment operates efficiently and reliably. This position reports into the Maintenance Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years or more of directly related experience is required
  • Expert-level knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on improving equipment performance.
  • Ability to collaborate across departments and contribute to strategic maintenance initiatives.
  • Commitment to integrity, safety, and continuous improvement in alignment with Johnson Screens' values.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the troubleshooting and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Perform advanced preventive and corrective maintenance tasks to ensure equipment reliability and minimize production downtime.
  • Oversee the training and development of Maintenance Technician I and II team members, sharing knowledge and promoting best practices.
  • Analyze equipment performance data and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce equipment failures.
  • Work closely with the engineering, production, and operations teams to support maintenance initiatives and align efforts with company goals.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are documented thoroughly and adhere to safety and operational standards.
  • Develop and implement maintenance procedures and processes to improve overall equipment performance.
  • Act as a resource for resolving critical equipment issues, providing expert guidance to the team.
  • Contribute to long-term maintenance planning and capital projects to support growth and innovation.
  • Perform various other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
