About The Position

SALARY (Non-negotiable) Pay Grade 8 $42,369 - $57,449 includes employee benefits package and uniforms Hours: 40 hours, 12 months, 260 days Contract Unit: This position is part of the non-supervisory support services bargaining unit. FLSA: Exempt

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Minimum of five (5) years experience in the installation, maintenance and repair of HVAC, refrigeration units, air condition units and related equipment.
Ability to meet requirements for state of Maryland HVACR Master or Master Restricted License and ability to obtain if directed.
EPA approved CFC Certification License required.
Must possess a valid Class C driver's license.
Ability to read, write, and follow instructions (using the English language when deemed necessary), use simple arithmetic, and maintain records.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance and repairs to HVAC components, refrigeration units, air condition units and various environmental control systems including chillers.
Troubleshoot equipment and make necessary repairs/replacements including but not limited to; electric controls, electrical wiring, and thermostats.
Assume responsibility for purchasing supplies and materials (at supervisor's discretion) and keep inventory.
Assist Foreman and Team Leader in setting project priorities.
Adhere to all trade safety practices.
Assume willingness to work beyond an eight (8) hour day and respond to after hour's emergency calls.
Maintain regular on-time attendance.
Perform related work as required or assigned.
