Qualify as a journey-level Mechanic – Class A (MIII). Communicate effectively and work closely with management and other maintenance professionals to align maintenance and repair efforts with production goals or facility-specific needs. Perform and oversee routine preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs. Diagnose mechanical issues, identify root causes of failures, and implement effective solutions to restore functionality quickly and efficiently. Under the direction or in the absence of a Head Mechanic, lead, mentor, train, and supervise Mechanics within a department or maintenance function, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and ensuring quality of work. Develop and manage relevant work schedules or shifts of other Mechanics. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inventories, repair logs, and equipment performance reports. Order necessary materials, parts, tools, and/or supplies.
